Hey Providence people,
My friend Zara, editor of Taffy Hips Magazine, is hosting a booth at AS220's Foo Fest this Saturday (August 14th) on Empire Street. In addition to selling copies of the magazine, Zara will be leading exquisite corpse drawing games and "tattooing" willing participants with non-toxic markers. I will be one of those tattoo artists,so come on by-the booth will be up from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Spotlight on...MARCY!

Here is a doll I made in 2007 (?). She is one of my favorite dolls, and I totally forgot how many little details I gave her. Made out of a light, kind of mossy-green fleece fabric, Marcy stands about nine inches tall. The undersides of her arm-tentacles are made out of metallic gold lame`, and her lower tentacles feature varying shades of gold rhinestone "suction cups" set with glittery green hot glue. Her open eye features a heart-shaped sequin and she wears sea-green metallic lame` eyeshadow. Both her eyes and her mouth are appliqued. Her hair is made out of this great handspun wool I got at a yarn shop that no longer exists. Marcy's dress is 1950s style and made out of pink vintage moire taffeta. Her neck is unsupported, so her head is sorta floppy, but that just makes her kinetic and fun.

HERE SHE IS:

I love her, but she needs a HOME! She is not getting the attention she deserves in my bedroom!
